Getting Started — Dr. Nassab

A simple, step-by-step guide to rolling out PatientPower to your chiropractic patients next week.

Prepared 2026-07-26 · for Dr. Nassab · beta launch · email-based this week (text reminders come later)

PatientPower lets you hand each patient a simple home-care plan — posture checks, stretches, exercises, pain tracking — that they follow in an app on their phone. They log their progress and get gentle encouragement between visits, so they actually do the work, stay engaged, and come back. You set it in about a minute per patient; they take it from there.

Part 1 · What you'll use the short list

PieceWhat it's for
Your Case ManagerYour workspace — your patient list, plans, and their progress. This is where you do everything.
Add a patientEnter a patient (name + email) to create their space.
💡 Suggested goalsA ready-made menu of goals (posture, stretches, exercises, pain, sleep, hydration). Pick a few in one click.
Custom goalType your own goal — it's saved to your list to reuse next time.
Save & send to patientSaves the plan and emails the patient a secure sign-in link (no health details in the email).
Progress viewSee what each patient has logged (their check-ins) so you can review before the next visit.

Part 2 · The sequence do it in this order

Before the week — one-time setup (~30 min)

  1. Open your Case Manager. Use your personal link (below). Your patient list loads — no sign-in juggling.
  2. Click around first. Add one test patient (use your own email) and build a practice plan so nothing is new during a real visit.
  3. Build your go-to chiropractic plan once. From 💡 Suggested goals, add the chiro set (next section). Type any custom goals you use often — they'll be there to reuse for every patient.

During the week — in the office, one patient at a time (~1 min each)

  1. Add the patient — their name and email.
  2. Set their plan — pick the goals that fit today's visit (posture, the stretches you prescribed, home exercises, a daily pain log). Add a target if useful (e.g. stretches "2×/day").
  3. Save & send to patient. They get an email with a sign-in link. No health details are ever in the text or email — just the link.
  4. Tell them in the chair (see the script below) so they know to expect the email and what to do.

What the patient does (so you can explain it)

  1. Opens your email → taps "Sign in to view my plan."
  2. First time: taps "No account? Create one," enters their email, sets a password, and types the code emailed to them.
  3. Sees their plan, logs each item daily, and earns streaks/encouragement from the PowerCoach.

Through the week

  1. Check progress in your Case Manager — their logged check-ins appear under each patient.
  2. Adjust anyone's plan as needed and Save & send again.

Recommended chiropractic goals

These are already in 💡 Suggested goals — start here and add your own:

What to say in the chair

"I've set up a simple plan for you in an app — the stretches and exercises we talked about, plus a quick daily pain check. You'll get an email with a link. Sign in, and each day just tap what you did. It keeps you on track between visits, and I can see how you're doing before you come back."

⚠️ This week: email, not text

Patients get their sign-in link by email this week. Text-message reminders are set up but waiting on a carrier verification step, so don't rely on texts yet — reinforce it verbally and tell patients to check their email (and spam folder the first time). Text reminders will switch on later with no change on your end.

💡 Start small

For your first week, pick 5–10 engaged patients (the ones who ask "what should I do at home?") rather than the whole panel. Get the rhythm down, see the first progress logs come in, then expand. A small, delighted first group is worth more than a big, half-onboarded one.
