How does PatientPower compare with MyChart, Novellia, OneRecord and Apple Health?

Short answer: MyChart is your health system's portal: use it to message your care team, schedule and pay bills. Novellia, OneRecord and Apple Health Records gather copies of your records from several providers in one place. PatientPower (beyondmychart.com) also brings records together, from MyChart connections, imported files, photos and your own entries. It adds an AI coach for education and visit preparation, and care plans from practitioners who use PatientPower. Sources for every cell, from each company's own pages, are linked below.

Is there a MyChart alternative for patients?

You can't replace your provider's MyChart, because each health system runs its own. You can add an app that brings records from several providers together: PatientPower connects to Epic MyChart at participating health systems, through each patient's own MyChart sign-in, and adds care plans from practitioners who use it. The page compares it with Novellia, OneRecord and Apple Health.

The short version

These five products overlap but are not the same kind of thing. MyChart is Epic's patient portal, licensed to healthcare organizations that use Epic software. Novellia and OneRecord are independent personal health record apps that pull copies of your records from many providers. Apple Health is the Health app built into iPhone, and its Health Records feature downloads records from supporting healthcare organizations. PatientPower is an independent, patient-owned health platform that connects to MyChart and links you with the practitioners you choose.

Many people use more than one. Keeping MyChart for messaging and scheduling while using a separate app to combine records is common, and nothing in these products prevents it.

Which one fits which need

If you get all your care at health systems that use Epic, MyChart with Happy Together may cover most of what you need, and it is the only one in this list whose pages describe messaging your care team, scheduling and bill pay.

If you have records spread across many providers and want them gathered automatically, Novellia and OneRecord both connect to provider portals; OneRecord also lists insurance claims and partner networks such as CareQuality and CommonWell. If you mainly use an iPhone and Apple Watch, Apple Health keeps device data, medications and Health Records together on the phone.

PatientPower is built for people who want one record they control that mixes connected MyChart records with files, photos and their own entries, an AI coach to help them prepare questions for visits, and a working relationship with practitioners who can send care plans as daily actions. Check each company's current pages before choosing, because features change.

What PatientPower does not do

PatientPower is not MyChart and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Epic Systems Corporation, Novellia, Milliman or Apple. It does not diagnose conditions and is not medical advice; clinical interpretation is left to licensed professionals. Records you connect may be incomplete, delayed or contain errors, so verify important details with your care team.

MyChart and Epic are trademarks of Epic Systems Corporation. Apple, Apple Health, iPhone and Apple Watch are trademarks of Apple Inc. Novellia and OneRecord are the names of their respective owners. Product names are used only to identify the products compared.

How we built this comparison

Each cell is drawn from the company's own website, help center, privacy policy or App Store listing, checked on 17 October 2026 and linked below. We left out ratings, prices, user counts and anything we could not find on a company's own pages. Where a company's pages disagree with each other, the table says so. Products change often, so if a cell is out of date, the linked company page is the authority.

Common questions

Is there a MyChart alternative for patients?

You can't replace your provider's MyChart, because each health system runs its own. Is PatientPower a replacement for MyChart?

No. Keep using MyChart to message your care team, schedule appointments and pay bills. PatientPower connects to MyChart to bring a copy of your records in alongside records from other sources.

Can MyChart combine records from different hospitals?

Partly. Epic's Happy Together lets you link MyChart accounts at different organizations, and MyChart itself is offered by organizations that use Epic software.

Does Apple Health work on Android?

Apple's support pages describe the Health app on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. They do not describe an Android or web version.

Which of these apps sell health data?

None of them says it sells your health data. Several of these privacy policies allow some disclosures to partners, affiliates or service providers, so read each policy for the details.
