This page explains how PatientPower backs up, protects, retains, and recovers your health information, and how you keep your own copy. It complements our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

restored to any point in the last 35 days. Secure cloud data lives in a HIPAA-grade enclave; local data stays on your device. You can
export your own copy anytime and request deletion whenever you want.
How your data is backed up
- Automated, continuous. When you use secure cloud features, your data is written to a managed HIPAA-grade database (a Microsoft Azure enclave under a Business Associate Agreement) that takes automatic backups continuously — you never have to remember to save.
- Point-in-time recovery. Backups support restore to any moment within the retention window, so an accidental change or deletion can be rolled back.
- Stored redundantly. Backup copies are kept redundantly within our secure cloud region, so a single hardware failure does not lose your data.
- Local-first copy. By default much of your data also lives on your own device — you always hold a copy, independent of our servers.

Encryption
Your information is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), including the backups themselves. Secure AI features process your data inside the same protected enclave under the Microsoft Business Associate Agreement — never on consumer AI endpoints.
Your data, your control
- Export anytime. Download your records as JSON or PDF — your data is never locked in our platform.
- Delete anytime. You may stop using the app and request deletion of your information at any time.
- You own the backup, too. Because you can export a full copy whenever you like, you are never dependent on us alone to keep your record safe.
Availability & continual improvement
On our roadmap to general availability: cross-region backup replication (so an entire region outage is covered), a high-availability standby database, and routine restore drills that test recovery on a schedule — because a backup you have never restored from is a hope, not a guarantee. We will update this page as each lands.
